Out and About

There are many interesting places to visit all within a short distance. A few suggestions follow:

  • Hergest Croft gardens, small breeds farm.
  • * Walks and trails including Offa's Dyke
  • The market towns of Kington, Hereford, Leominster, Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, Ross-on-Wye.
  • The city of Hereford where there is a Cathedral housing the Mappa Mundi, cider museum, theatre, cinema, leisure centre and nightclubs.
  • For active days there's fishing, canoeing, cycling, golf and horse riding.
  • The Swan at Huntington - a very old pub, is thought to have been built on the site of an inn dating back to the 13th century. No duke boxes, pool tables here.

Local pick-up for walkers and lifs to the pub and town can be arranged, also a good taxi service if required.

* Lorraine can arrange to be your guide on any walk, anything from 2-3 miles up to about 15miles per day. Lunch can be arranged prior with an extra charge or we can stop off at many of the local pubs.
